My late beloved kitty was named Tigger (that was her name at the shelter, and the ex thought we should keep it), but in her later years, I often called her Miss Kitty. Sometimes I would call her Furface.
After she passed, I brought a new kitty into my home. Her shelter name was Peppercorn, but I changed it to Penelope.
I would call both Boo-boo, Kittykins, Sweetie, other pet names. My boyfriend used to refer to Miss Kitty as Fuzz because she had a fuzzy little face. He refers to Penelope as PuffCat because she's got a really puffy face and her fur puffs around her collar.
So not only do my cats have names, but they have tons of nicknames too!

All my cats have names and always have. They recognize their names. I get confused when people say that their cat doesn't recognize it's name. I could holler Rain right now and my little kitten would come running. Or go to my moms where I keep my 2 older cats and call out Storm and my 11 yr old male cat will come running.
I did have a cat when I was a young teen named Female though.. I named her that because she was the only female cat I had. She came to it when I called for her though.

I've had about 5 cats since my first when I was younger. I've always named them & yet they still get called Kitty, hahaha. We recently got our 3 year old a kitten and after going through a million & one names he has named her Schuyler Catty. He picked Schuyler, but will randomly call her Catty, so we've added that to her actual name.
Me & the boyfriend will still randomly call her Kitty.
Whatever it is about cats, it's like you can't help it!

He has a name but I call him kitty. To be honest I don't like his name at all but I couldn't come up with anything better so I left his name as he came to me. Maybe if he had come with a better name I'd use it :)

I think my family always had a name for the cat, but it didn't matter, cause we always called them kitty. I don't do that with dogs though.

Jack knows his name and so does Ling. But I have to confess if I want them to come to me quicker and I'm in another room, I will use "kitty kitty kitty" and they answer to that too :)

I currently own a total of nine cats, and all of them have names, which they recognize the respond to. Their names are as followed: Missy, Tigger, Savannah, Zoey, Grimm, Devlin, Hougan, Sapphire and Allie.
Growing up, my family's cats always had names. Even our fish, reptiles, and amphibians had names. When I was younger, I thought that naming a pet was one of the best parts of owning one.
I adopted my cat, Missy, when I was roughly nine years old (she is now 10). I remember being extremely excited about being able to name her all by myself. xD

Mine have always had names, but now on the farm we wait until they are older before we name them. It hurts less if they dont make it if you arn't attached, but I still name a few. I have a Kiera & Jensen in the house and outside we have Sam, Tessa, Skittles, Rabbit, and Patti. Patti has four kittens and I named one Coupa [from Mario Bros] as she's a tortie.

by using the indisputable fact that is uncomplicated to assert kitty back and back, however, we were taught, by skill of acceptable English, that puppy isn't a acceptable note and therefore not one we many times use..... in an attempt to assert canines or puppy back and back isn't almost as flowing in cadence..... though it would nicely be exciting after some beverages!
