Polarfleece and cat hair...does anyone out there know more than I do about getting cat hair off polarfleece?

and/or treating the polarfleece so that it does not attract cat hair so much? (Ways already tried: fabric softener, antistat laundry sheets to make the fabric less sticky, lint rollers and masking tape to remove the cat hair.) Getting rid of the cats isn't an option, and they are brushed regularly to minimize their shedding.

We use the zoom groom brush to clean our blankets and furniture. It works well on carpeting too. It's probably not the easiest solution to repelling cat hair from your blankets, but it's another option to consider at least.

Pet Hair pick ups always worked for me. My grandsons wear a lot of polar fleece in the winter (their down jackets are lined with it) and the cats love to lay in those nice warm down coats. The pet hair pick up always seems to work.



They are the same as a lint roller. The one kind of lint roller that doesn't work on anything, is the kind that seems like a squishy plastic and you wash it off under some running water. Those things are a big thumbs down.

Sticky roller (I'm sure they've got a proper name, but they're basically a roll of very sticky paper on a handle- better than masking tape too). They work like a charm...I wear polarfleece all the time, I have cats & dogs, I'm a vet nurse and I'm a vet student. (In other words, I'm always "collecting" animal hair...!)



You can buy them from some supermarkets, dry cleaners, & some vet clinics sell them as well.

Duct tape works wonders.It is stickier than masking tape and really gets it off.But,having cats means you can never completely get rid of the hair.I should know,I have 15 of the hairy little beasties.

the laudry cloths sorry can't think of their name you put them in your dryer to make your clothes smell fresh only this time put it in your dryer with the polarfleece usely the static electricty builds up and all the cat hair clings on your shirt or another thing just don't wear polarfleece... but I do know the one works very nicely....good luck

they sell great lint removal brushes all over the place (pet stores and bed, bath and beyond). That has worked great for me!
