My kitty is the sweetest thing! She loved "Willy" when he first got here. My Dad's cat had to come live with us for a few months because Dad was in the hospital. Willy is a male and my kitty Pipi is a female. They act like they like each other and play together. Just this past 2 weeks Pipi is puking up her food and pulling hairs out of her tail. She didn't do this before. Willy is a puker according to Dad. Now Pipi is too AND pulling hair out of her tail....HELP??!!

Sounds 2 me like Pipi is stressed and fur pulling is a classic sign and will make her sick if ingested. Can you try 2 separate them if only for a few hours a day 2 give Pipi a rest from the guest?

If hair is being pulled out of the base of the tail it could mean the anal glands are impacted there. They're supposed to be emptied when the cat poops but sometimes they fill up and get uncomfortable, making the cat lick a lot down there or start pulling fur off the underside of the tail at the base.

Ok, im going to talk from personal experience here. If pipi is pulling hair out of her tail, she could be stressed out...if she's eating the hair it could cause a hairball...hairballs, if bad enough can kill cats. I just had my cat in the hospital a few weeks ago due to a hairball getting stuck in her digestive track and she almost died, all the wretching and throwing up she did, caused her pancreas to become inflammed. You need to get her to the vet ASAP!

The vet can ensure the significant reason, you're in easy words treating the indications. Take a comb, use the high quality toothed end and comb down his back and hip area, seem on the fur that comes off. Are there any black dots in it? shifting insects? If he's were given fleas, it is the position the flea poop shows up. you're coping with fleas which will be dealt with for $12 a dose of benefit. If it is stud tail -- is there an oily area on the bottom of his hip/tail area? a lot of cats improve this, their pores and skin's oil glands bypass haywire and convey a lot it receives painful for the cat and they commence yanking fur. If it is nutrition hypersensitive reactions, you'll favor to change ingredients. Cat nutrition businesses tweek their elements each and every of the time and do not might want to assert so on the bag or can. it would nicely be that he's having a reaction to preservative chemical substances contained in the nutrition, to the rosemary extract (both confirmed up in our cats), to one certain aspect jointly with wheat, soy or fish, or someother aspect triggers a wide itch aspect allergic reaction in him. from time to time including some raw floor hen or turkey to the load-loss plan can help (the organic meat can shift the soundness back to the position an allergy is tolerated) yet your vet might want to take a seem on the cat, regardless. an person-friendly pores and skin scraping on the vets will rule out (or make sure) pores and skin mites. in spite of the indisputable fact that, those are not itchy lots of the time and the fur falls out on it is personal, no longer pulled by technique of the cat. I merely talked with reference to the point out of hyperethesia, convinced it would nicely be that too, because some adult males can get it, yet maximum of those cats are in a lot of cases male and overweight. a minimum of it is what i have considered (3 cases, buddy's pets who had it).

What kind of food does she eat? It sounds like she might have a food allergy.
