The proper color term is RED point Siamese (flame point is used on Himalayans). If a breeder is quoting prices based on color....run - there is no difference in price and point color. Its either a pet quality or a show quality cat.

Reputable breeders will charge $500+ for kittens (includes all shots, worming and spay/neuter before you take them at 3-4 months old). Do not get a Siamese kitten under 3 months old - they are needy cats and need extra time with mom/siblings to avoid behavior and social problem.

Pet quality is cheaper then show quality. Show quality would start at $1,000+

We ended up with 2 in a litter of kittens. The mom was part Siamese and the father was a red tabby. I've heard of people selling this kind of cat for $100 and up. I figure it was just the luck of the genes. The one we kept is 13 and has been the smartest and best friend a person could have.

We got our lilac point siamese from animal control for $80, they had anywhere from 2 to 7 Siamese there any day of the week, the purebred rescue group pulls as many as they can to rehome them from there.

Adoption prices vary, but check with 'siamese breed rescue' through google, check your local shelter and your local animal control. They get purebreds all the time.
