There is really nothing you can do about it. Kittens and cats sleep a lot and they don't sleep for seven hours straight like humans do.

It's the same with babies (which maybe is something you can look forward to in the future.)

Everybody wants the darling kitten and then is totally unprepared for what is absolutely normal behavior for the kit. If you want a good night's sleep a cat over a year old is the best bet.

If your friends at school or co-workers ask why you have bags under your eyes you just say "Got a new baby in the house!"

Move the baby out of your room. He wants to play and cats don't sleep like humans. They nap throughout the day and night. However, remember that cats are nocturnal creatures and will be up more when it is dark. Put the baby in the bathroom so you can get some sleep. I am lucky in that my cat leaves me alone at night, but it is a rarity.

no dont keep him in a small room right now he is nocturnal play with him a lot during the day and close ur door at night and eventually he will sleep at night to introduce the cats put them in a room and see how they act at night let the kitten roam the house and put the other cat in your room good luck

Keep a watch on him - whilst you say "at all times" - does he get up and feature loony part hours? Kittens are like babies, a whole lot of power then lifeless to the sector. I might assume an eleven week historical kitten to have lots of power whilst conscious. so in case your kitten is like this then he is customarily high-quality but when he does not have then do get him checked. He is also combating a moderate illness. As cats cannot let us know whilst they are now not good continuously high-quality to double investigate.

I guess for tonight it will be OK if he sleeps in other room. The best you can do if is to play a lot whit him before you both go to sleep, i.e. get him tired.

If he crawls in the middle of the night caress him for few minutes then he will let you continue sleeping. The worst thing u can do is ignore him, 'cause he will keep going 'till he gets your attention.

Have a good night!

i had the same problem. i would wake him up during the day and play with him. if he wants to stop, then offer him some treats or something. just anything to keep him awake for more of the day. and i would suggest opening the door to the room and letting him explore your home more so that he gets exercised and needs more rest at night.

Cats are naturally nocturnal, so I would suggest putting him in a separate room with the door closed. Then again, you're probably going to hear him meowing all night. He's stil a kitten and he wants his mommy.

Why don't u lock him up in another room or ur bathroom for tonight? Just make sure he stays warm and if it's in the bathroom put down the toilet cover.

i had the same promblem i just put him in the living room with his litter box and closed my bedroom door..the living room is bigger so he has more room to explore .. you could also take some string and tie a piece of paper to it so it looks like a butterfly and tie the other end to a chair or door knob at the other end of the house that way it will have something to play with

It passes. Try to play with him as much as you can during the day so he's tired at night. You have to just ignore it. Eventually he'll get over it. Also, if you see him sleeping during the early evening, try to wake him up and get him to play.

we would put our cats in the garage at night because otherwise they meowed and ran around and scratched at doors. They would hunt bugs and looked like they had fun. Just make sure there's nothing dangerous they can get into (like poisons, antifreeze, paint, sharp tools, etc.)

well, it is in a new environment, it's used to a particular place, it's taken from it's home. it's very uneasy about where its at. you should keep it calm but stroking it, making it comfortable and show to it that you won't harm her/him. or, you could give it a water bottle (warm) and a clock so that it can think that the clock is the mother's heart-beat, try it, it could work, what have you got to lose (except your sleep)?

cats are nocturnal. so to get sleep, you need to put the cat in a separate room, or crate it while it's a kitten so you can sleep.

Give him a stuffed toy with an alarm clock that ticks. Put it in bed with him.

If you have a kennel, then let him sleep in it with the door closed. (A cage like guinea pigs sleep in.)
