My cat is predominately white and every time I pick her up she leaves white hair all over my shirt, and lots of it too. I comb her her regularly (even though she hates it) but its pretty much the same. My other cat barely leaves any hairs on my shirts when I pick her up...what is the best way to control this? Thanks !!

Brush your cat daily. Make sure you're offering your cat premium, grain free cat food. Try adding some liquid Omega 3 to her food (you can get it from the vet).

properly, some cats in simple terms shed alot. exceedingly breeds like the persian, himalayan and birman. I truthfully have a birman cat and that i bathe him as quickly as each week and he's brushed two times an afternoon and he nevertheless sheds much. he's my first cat, and that i dont comprehend if cats are like dogs the place they shed greater advantageous mucho throughout the summer season yet they could be. Having her groomed may well be something to do. such as you've got her decrease short. and groomers are used to concern on account that no cats like water.

Get a Furminator brush from a pet store like Petsmart. They are fantastic and get all (or most) of those loose hairs. After brushing, wipe your cat down with a damp paper towel/cloth towel to get loose hairs.

You should get her something to prevent hairballs and give it to her according to the package. Usually 1-2 times a week. Comes in a tube and uses flavors that appeal to cats.

You'll probably want to vacuum frequently and use a lint roller for your clothing. Keep them in strategic places around your home/apartment.

I follow all of these suggestions and it works out pretty good! Good luck!

Brushing, not combing. Find out if your cat is one that has an undercoat. If so then you need a special implement that works on that undercoat in addition to doing regular brushing.

Also make sure your cat is getting nutritionally correct food. Ask your vet about the fur and skin. You can also ask them to show you how to do undercoat or ask a groomer who does cats.

Combing every day will help a lot more. But its coming into spring (or fall if you are "down under" and its seasonal changes - the cat will shed out more at this time.

It sounds like your cat has a vitamin deficiency causing hair loss...you should take it to the vet and get it on a special diet. Until then: You can take a walmart bag and cut leg holes in the back . put the back legs through the holes you make and the front legs through the bag carrying handles and the head out of the end of the bag...dont forget to cut a little hole for its tail. the hair will be contained in the bag. problem solved.
